Max Lamb (1980) is a modern day artist crafts man - a furniture designer whose design sensibility is informed by his knowledge of manufacturing techniques, respect for materials, and skill as a maker. A native of Cornwall Max has been tinkering with furniture and objects since he was a little boy, a curiosity that led to an MA at the Royal College of Art and “Designer of the Future'' at Design Miami/Basel. Lamb is a wonderfully curious designer exploring and re-contextualizing both traditional and unconventional materials and processes, blending experimentation and rationale to create furniture and products that possess a visual simplicity capable of communicating the obvious. Honesty to material and celebration of process are key to Lamb's intent.
