SPORT ALLEY

A small integrated sports center is located a short distance from the historic center of Comacchio, on a large open space surrounded by picturesque coastal countryside, suggesting close proximity to the coast.
The project is part of a more complex, partially completed sports district, where an indoor swimming pool, a soccer and track stadium, a skate park, and an indoor beach tennis and volleyball facility are already operational.

A linear building, shaped like a thin bar extended along the ground, houses the reception services, changing rooms, and technical areas, providing protection from coastal winds and prevailing breezes. The architectural body, enveloped in a luminous pale blue, is punctuated by a very long strip opening that opens the interior onto a large green area (which will eventually resemble a shady forest) for running, stretching, and outdoor weight training.

On the opposite side, beyond the building, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and soccer courts are accessible by crossing a three-dimensional "threshold" made of metal elements that protects the systems and equipment required to operate the air-conditioned roofs installed during the winter months. The architectural and technical structures, arranged parallel and a short distance from each other, create an unusual "street" for athletes, a narrow circulation lane open at the end to a view of the sea horizon.
