At Château de Nalys, architecture becomes an act of interpretation rather than transformation. My approach is rooted in listening — to the land, to history, to what already exists. In this exceptional wine-growing landscape of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the project seeks continuity, not rupture.

The intervention includes the demolition and reconstruction of the winemaking and viticultural facilities, alongside the creation of new spaces dedicated to oenotourism: tasting rooms, a wine museum, a sales cellar, administrative offices, and a visitor parcours. The architecture unfolds as a mineral composition anchored in the topography, where stone is both structure and narrative.

I work with stone as a material of time. Its mass, texture, and permanence echo the depth of the soil and the patience of viticulture. The project favors thick walls, restrained lines, and calibrated openings that frame the landscape and guide light. Architecture here does not seek spectacle; it seeks durability, clarity, and resonance.

At Nalys, interior and exterior spaces are closely interwoven. Natural light is filtered, controlled, and allowed to reveal the materiality of each volume. Circulation is conceived as a slow progression, inviting visitors to experience the rhythm of the place and the craft behind the wine.

My architecture does not erase history; it proceeds by inclusion. Building here is an act of humility — an extension of the land and its memory. Château de Nalys becomes a contemporary expression of heritage, where architecture supports both production and transmission, grounded in permanence, landscape, and time.
