SAHEL | Studio Marie Bonnard

Located in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, this former 100-square-metre artist’s studio has been thoughtfully transformed into both a living space and a place for creative work. Owned by a painter, the project was designed to meet a dual purpose: providing a comfortable environment for everyday life while preserving the functionality essential to artistic practice.

The industrial character of the space has been carefully retained, showcasing the original steel beams and a vast glass roof that floods the studio with natural light. The choice of materials and colours follows a restrained and refined palette of black, white, wood and stainless steel, creating an atmosphere that is both calming and inspiring, perfectly in tune with the spirit of the space.

Dans le 12e arrondissement de Paris, un ancien atelier d’artiste de 100 m² a été métamorphosé pour devenir à la fois lieu de vie et espace de création. Propriété d’un artiste peintre, cet espace devait répondre à un double besoin : un environnement propice à la vie quotidienne tout en conservant son caractère fonctionnel pour le travail artistique.

L’âme industrielle du lieu a été préservée avec soin, mettant en valeur les poutres en acier d’origine et une vaste verrière qui inonde l’atelier de lumière naturelle. Les choix de matériaux et de couleurs s’inscrivent dans une palette sobre et élégante, mêlant noir, blanc, bois et inox, pour créer une atmosphère à la fois apaisante et inspirante, en parfaite harmonie avec l’esprit du lieu.
