Simple for functional. Elegant for their sobriety. Cubic lines that enclose within themselves all the whiteness of lime and, sometimes, also the earthy color of dry stone. Modules that grow with the history of each house and, therefore, make them unique designs. A popular knowledge that accumulates centuries behind each window, behind each beam of sabina chosen. 

Admired by Le Corbusier, Sert, Rodríguez Arias and other great master architects of the 20th century, the traditional rural Ibicencan house is one of the great treasures of the island.

Formed by cubic modules that were added according to the needs and resources of the family, the peasant houses were built in isolation throughout the territory, on the same land to be cultivated and obliged to achieve the greatest possible self-sufficiency, so they could not miss elements of great importance as the well, the oven and the cistern, which collected the rainwater that drained through the flat roofs. 

In this case, the kitchen was made outside (along with a bathroom a few meters away) in a room next to the outdoor patio to promote the garden life of fruit trees and milkweed plants, being the warmer months the main use of the house.
The later construction of the pool on a level below the main building gives privacy and a unique charm.

This house breathes all the essence of the island, whose original owners continue to maintain and preserve the memories of those unrepeatable Ibizan years.
