8 Portions | Masquespacio

Masquespacio has reinterpreted the Italian dining experience in Riyadh with the interior design of 8 Portions. This new restaurant, which fuses Italian culinary tradition with the local flavors of Saudi Arabia, becomes an urban oasis where aesthetics and culinary experience intertwine.

For this project, Masquespacio aimed to create a space that would transcend the clichés of Italian restaurants, incorporating elements that reflect the essence of Saudi Arabia without resorting to literal representations. Inspired by the beauty of the desert, the characteristic shapes and textures were reinterpreted, transforming architectural elements such as pillars, stairs, and ceilings into true sculptures that shape the space.

The neutral and earthy color palette evokes the dunes and rocks of the desert, while the carefully designed lighting recreates the magic of the golden hour, bathing the space in a warm and sophisticated light. This golden light, the undisputed protagonist of the design, is reflected in the metallic and golden finishes of the elements, creating an enveloping and sophisticated atmosphere. 

Each element of the design, from the curved pillars to the sculptural lighting fixtures, has been conceived to create a unique sensory experience. The organic and fluid shapes contrast between each other transforming the structural elements, while generating a visual dynamic that invites exploration. 

Masquespacio has designed a space that goes beyond the simple function of eating. 8 Portions is a sensory experience that invites diners to immerse themselves in a unique and memorable environment, where light, shapes, and materials combine to create an oasis of tranquility and sophistication.

Masquespacio ha reinterpretado la experiencia gastronómica italiana en Riad con el diseño interior de 8 Portions. Este nuevo restaurante, que fusiona la tradición culinaria italiana con los sabores locales de Arabia Saudita, se convierte en un oasis urbano donde la estética y la experiencia culinaria se entrelazan.

Para este proyecto, Masquespacio se propuso crear un espacio que trascendiera los clichés de los restaurantes italianos, incorporando elementos que reflejaran la esencia de Arabia Saudita sin caer en representaciones literales. Inspirados en la belleza del desierto, se reinterpretaron las formas y texturas características, transformando elementos arquitectónicos como pilares, escaleras y techos en verdaderas esculturas que modelan el espacio.

La paleta de colores neutros y tierra evoca las dunas y las rocas del desierto, mientras que la iluminación cuidadosamente diseñada recrea la magia de la hora dorada, bañando el espacio con una luz cálida y sofisticada. Esta luz dorada, protagonista indiscutible del diseño, se refleja en los acabados metálicos y dorados de los elementos, creando una atmósfera envolvente y sofisticada.

Cada elemento del diseño, desde los pilares curvos hasta las luminarias escultóricas, ha sido concebido para crear una experiencia sensorial única. Las formas orgánicas y fluidas contrastan entre ellas transformando los elementos estructurales, generando una dinámica visual que invita a la exploración.

Masquespacio ha diseñado un espacio que va más allá de la simple función de comer. 8 Portions es una experiencia sensorial que invita a los comensales a sumergirse en un ambiente único y memorable, donde la luz, las formas y los materiales se combinan para crear un oasis de tranquilidad y sofisticación.
