VILLA LEV | Espacio 18 Arquitectura

Villa Lev is a project born from the idea of creating a restful retreat in the Tulum’s jungle, where the guiding principle of the project was to design a space that blends in with the natural environment, respects the context, and passively adapts to the constantly growing real estate development. 

Villa Lev is a dream for the clients, where the architecture draws on elements of Mayan architecture to generate new contemporary spaces suitable for current environmental issues.

The project is developed by creating three volumes that unfold in a horseshoe shape, creating a central courtyard that serves as a spatial, social, visual, ventilation, and lighting articulator. The courtyard is understood as the heart of the project and consequently the idea of ​​creating this house was centered around the social, the family, the interaction between users, and the importance of family.

Each space in the house, due to its distribution, has views of the natural surroundings, where trees, courtyards, and large walls provide privacy, but also break down the barrier between interior and exterior, where the unconstructed space gains great value.

The project integrates apparent materials in a monochromatic and simple form, concrete stuccos for exteriors and interiors, custom-made furniture exclusive to the project, and the use of woods in neutral tones that generate a contrast and warmth that make it feel like a home. Casa Belart managed to capture the client's idea and our architecture to achieve a very welcoming interior harmony.

Finally, the project was always designed with the idea of ​​creating timeless architecture, some suggested details were created without interrupting the idea, but the goal is to remain and age integrally with the context, to have contemplation spaces to watch the light pass between the trees, listen to the sound of water in the courtyard, and generate a sculpture lost in the jungle.

Villa Lev es un proyecto que nace a partir de la idea de crear un refugio de descanso en la selva de Tulum, donde la idea rectora del proyecto fue diseñar un espacio que se mimetice con el entorno natural, que sea respetuoso con el contexto y de forma pasiva adaptarse al desarrollo inmobiliario en constante crecimiento.

Villa Lev es un sueño para los clientes, donde la arquitectura retoma elementos de la arquitectura Maya para generar nuevos espacios contemporáneos adecuados a las problemáticas ambientales actuales.

El proyecto se desarrolla creando tres volúmenes donde se desenvuelven en forma de herradura, creando un patio central que a su vez funge como articulador espacial, social, visual, de ventilación e iluminación. Se entiende el patio como el corazón del proyecto y en consecuencia la idea de crear esta casa fue entorno a lo social, lo familiar, la interacción entre los usuarios, la importancia de la familia.

Cada espacio de la casa, debido a su distribución, tiene vistas al entorno natural, donde los árboles, los patios y los grandes muros generan privacidad, pero también, rompen la barrera entre lo interior y lo exterior, en donde el espacio no construido obtiene gran valor.

El proyecto integra materiales aparentes en una forma monocromática y sencilla, estucos de concreto para exteriores e interiores, muebles hechos a la medida exclusivos para el proyecto y el uso de maderas en tonos neutros que generan un contraste y calidez que lo hacen sentir como un hogar. Casa Belart logró capturar la idea del cliente y de nuestra arquitectura para lograr una armonía interior muy acogedora.

Finalmente, el proyecto se diseñó siempre con la idea de crear una arquitectura atemporal, algunos detalles sugeridos fueron creados sin interrumpir la idea, pero la meta es permanecer y envejecer de forma integral con el contexto, tener espacios de contemplación para ver pasar la luz entre los árboles, escuchar el sonido del agua en el patio y generar una escultura perdida en la selva.
