Together with Arauna Studio, an interior design and corporate identity project has been carried out for the Sant Joan Institute, an orthopedic clinic in Barcelona specialized in treating children and adolescents.

The concept of the project is inspired by orthopedic practice itself. The furniture consists of basic structures that are complemented by visually “added” elements. Additional pieces that, just like prosthetics help the institute’s patients, complement the body of the furniture. One of the project’s goals was to create a welcoming atmosphere by carefully selecting shapes and applying colors that evoke elements of children’s games, infusing the space with a playful character without relying on additional themes or decorative elements.

Color divides and identifies the spaces in the institute. The reception is yellow, the exhibition spaces are blue, and the consultation rooms are red. On the wooden wall of the hallway, which brings warmth, you can see the negative spaces of the blocks and pieces integrated into the entrance furniture. This same game of added pieces has also been applied to the typography of the identity, developed by Arauna Studio.
