The project involves the recovery of a farmhouse on the Treviso hills by expanding its volume through the unification of smaller buildings in the plot. This reconfiguration thus allows a clearer reading of the landscape and buildings.
The concept aims to preserve the original features of the existing building by limiting interventions on the external facades to a minimum and grafting the new volume in continuity with the bound building.
The expansion of the living quarters develops in continuity with the historic building for two floors above ground and partly with a partially underground floor.
The volumes being expanded are characterized by a flat roof in order to make them more recognisable as new constructions.
The new extension is characterized by a double-height space with a corner window that frames and offers the eye a glimpse of the hills.
Externally, the swimming pool becomes an extension of the basement towards the surrounding landscape.
