the project consists in flowing transitions between history and the present, a meanwhile of existing buildings, with the aim of setting new impulses through targeted measures and the approach of changing places with architecture. setting balances that influence the environment.

the existing building has been carefully restored and expanded or enhanced through targeted implants.

on the roof, the building is complemented by an elevated line that incorporates references, integrates terraces and generates lightness and special situations through movement and kinks in the roof shape.

the elongated corner façade, parallel to the river and adlerbrückengasse, frames the neighbourhood and gives it its own language. this is complemented by five new bay windows in continuity with the two existing ones. a reference to history, to copper engravings found in 1670, which give the façade a rhythm and contrasts, a play with proportion, materiality (burnished brass) and shadow effects. a breaking out of the surface and at the same time an integration with history and timeless architecture. on the inside, an opening up, a reopening of existing axes, existing open spaces and a creation of new pathways and connections.

a densification of the inner courtyard. a new structure is inserted in the open space previously used for cars. a trapezoidal construction resting on a column and tapering upwards by three storeys. a positioning in the space between, working with distances to the existing building, with notches and incisions in the volume. glazed plain tiles in different shades of green, based on the surrounding church roofs, clad the façade.

il progetto è una transizione fluida tra la storia e il presente, un'evoluzione degli edifici esistenti, con l'obiettivo di dare nuovi impulsi attraverso misure mirate e l'approccio di cambiare i luoghi con l'architettura, stabilendo equilibri che influenzano l'ambiente.

l'edificio esistente è stato accuratamente restaurato e ampliato o valorizzato attraverso impianti mirati.

In copertura, l'edificio è completato da una linea sopraelevata che incorpora riferimenti, integra terrazze e genera leggerezza e situazioni particolari attraverso il movimento e le pieghe della forma del tetto.

la facciata d'angolo allungata, parallela al fiume e alla adlerbrückengasse, incornicia il quartiere e gli conferisce un linguaggio proprio. a ciò si aggiungono cinque nuovi bovindi in continuità con i due esistenti. un riferimento alla storia, alle incisioni su rame ritrovate nel 1670, che conferiscono alla facciata un ritmo e dei contrasti, un gioco di proporzioni, di matericità (ottone brunito) e di effetti d'ombra. una rottura della superficie e allo stesso tempo un'integrazione con la storia e l'architettura senza tempo. all'interno, un'apertura, una riapertura degli assi esistenti, degli spazi aperti esistenti e la creazione di nuovi percorsi e connessioni.

una densificazione nel cortile interno. una nuova struttura è inserita nello spazio aperto precedentemente utilizzato per le auto. una costruzione trapezoidale poggia su una colonna e conduce verso l'alto, assottigliandosi di tre piani. un posizionamento nello spazio intermedio, lavorando con le distanze dall'edificio esistente, con intagli e incisioni nel volume. tegole lisce smaltate in diverse tonalità di verde, basate sui tetti delle chiese circostanti, rivestono la facciata.
