A plot of land located in the hills of the municipality of Trarego Viggiona, at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, offers a 180° panoramic view of Lake Maggiore, from the Borromei Castles of Cannero to the Gulf of Verbania and beyond. The building, unique as envisioned by the owners, has fully glazed perimeter surfaces and is built on a solid concrete base (basement garage and cellar). The living part is developed on two above-ground floors, by means of a completely dry-built structure made of steel, wood and glass.
Surrounded by trees that protect its privacy, but open to the panorama, this unusual building enjoys large outdoor terraces to fully appreciate the view.
Careful bioclimatic design has made it possible to calibrate the solar inputs by appropriately sizing the external overhangs of the terraces and the eaves of the roof on the south-east elevation. This arrangement protects against excessive sunlight in summer, while guaranteeing an optimal climate during the winter months.
