The Colour Fair is a project promoted by Almeria City Council to reorganise the southern area of the fairgrounds, optimising its use and improving conditions for the fairgrounds' participants. The initiative seeks to structure the space with a system of plots organised by colour and size, guaranteeing functionality, accessibility and better integration with the fair.

The main objective is to dignify this area, providing basic services such as electricity supply, sanitation and resistant paving. Differentiated accesses, defined circulation areas and a central strip that structures the space have been designed, allowing the fairgrounds to live and work in a planned environment.

Colour is the central axis of the project, functioning as an organisational code and identifying element. Through a carefully selected chromatic palette, the emotional connection of the fairgrounds with their surroundings is reinforced, preventing this area from being perceived as an isolated annexe. The proposal transforms the former chaotic space into a natural extension of the fair, reflecting its vitality and diversity.

In addition to the spatial rearrangement, the project improves the infrastructure with durable pavements, drainage systems, drinking water points and lighting poles, ensuring greater comfort for the fairgrounds' participants. It also favours the connection with the rest of the site and the urban environment, facilitating the transit of visitors and participants.

More than a simple reorganisation, the Colour Fair is a commitment to dignifying the fairgrounds and improving their quality of life. The intervention not only optimises the space, but also reinforces the identity of the event and promotes a more cohesive and functional experience, demonstrating the importance of designing spaces in tune with the social and cultural reality of its users.
