Set among autochthonous vineyards and olive groves on Etna’s southern slopes, Villa
Ragalna is a 200 m² farmhouse conversion that blends rustic character with contemporary
elegance. The original stone walls and wood‐fired oven have been painstakingly retained,
while large sliding glass portals open to a saltwater infinity pool overlooking the Simeto
Valley. Outside, the pool house—equipped with a kitchenette and barbecue—extends the
living area into the landscape, providing a seamless indoor‐outdoor flow.
Internally, the villa is arranged over three levels: interconnected ground-floor bedrooms
can be configured as a family suite, while the first floor houses an airy living room, dining
area and streamlined kitchen finished in pale plaster and tactile timber. Under vaulted
ceilings, bespoke furnishings and muted textiles harmonize with rough-hewn beams. On
the top floor, a bright guest room completes the sleeping wings. Throughout, local lava‐
stone flooring, minimalist joinery and framed views of Mount Etna anchor the design in
place, making Villa Ragalna a tranquil hideaway for design aficionados and nature lovers
alike.
