Set on the clifftop bluffs above the Adriatic, Villa Solaria is a 300 m² whitewashed retreat
that fuses traditional Puglian lime-render façades with crisp, modern detailing. The villa’s
heart is a sun-filled courtyard planted with olive trees and flowering bougainvillea, from
which vivid cobalt-blue doors open onto interconnected living pavilions. Inside, the
soaring ceilings are left raw, with exposed timber beams and hand-troweled plaster walls
lending a warm, tactile quality. Polished terrazzo floors flow beneath oversized, low-slung
sofas and bespoke coffee tables crafted from reclaimed local oak.
The minimalist kitchen, clad in pale concrete and fitted with Gaggenau appliances, spills
onto a shaded loggia where a long, communal table invites al fresco gatherings. Each of the
five en-suite bedrooms enjoys its own private terrace or Juliet balcony, offering dawn-lit
sea views through frameless glass. Throughout, custom joinery and integrated LED
lighting emphasize calm proportions, while carefully placed skylights and clerestory
windows bathe the interior in ever-changing Mediterranean light. Villa Solaria is both a
contemporary work of art and a soulful homage to Puglia’s vernacular heritage.
