The intervention carried out at Concerto restaurant, located in the historical heart of Vila do Conde, aimed primarily to enhance the existing architectural heritage by restoring key elements of the original building and returning its dignity and aesthetic expression, while adapting the space to meet the requirements of a contemporary restaurant.

Throughout the process, special attention was given to preserving the identity of the building, respecting its original construction features and integrating them into the new design proposal. Previously damaged or neglected elements, such as an ornamental ceiling with decorative motifs and wooden mouldings, were carefully restored and incorporated into the new layout, reinforcing the connection between past and present.

The selection of materials and decor was made with particular care, aiming to establish a dialogue between the site’s history and its new function. Natural materials such as marble were combined with contemporary elements, including discreet technical lighting and high-durability finishes, resulting in a welcoming, functional, and authentic atmosphere.

The project sought to maintain the intimate ambiance of the original building, using a sober and elegant colour palette that highlights the architectural details and enhances natural light. All interventions were conceived with respect and sensitivity, creating harmony between tradition and modernity.

The result is a space that celebrates heritage, offers comfort and functionality, and invites guests to enjoy a dining experience in a soulful environment, where every element tells a story.

A intervenção realizada no restaurante Concerto, situado no coração histórico de Vila do Conde, teve como principal objetivo valorizar o património arquitetónico existente, recuperando elementos marcantes do edifício original e devolvendo-lhe a sua dignidade e expressão estética, enquanto se adaptou o espaço às exigências de um restaurante contemporâneo.

Ao longo do processo, foi dada especial atenção à preservação da identidade do edifício, respeitando as suas características construtivas e integrando-as na nova proposta. Elementos anteriormente degradados ou abandonados, como o tecto em gesso e as molduras em madeira, foram cuidadosamente recuperados e integrados no novo desenho, reforçando a ligação entre passado e presente.

A escolha dos materiais e da decoração foi feita de forma criteriosa, com o objetivo de estabelecer um diálogo entre a história do lugar e a sua nova função. Materiais naturais como a mármore, foram combinados com elementos contemporâneos, como a iluminação técnica discreta e revestimentos de alta durabilidade, criando um ambiente acolhedor funcional e autêntico.

O projeto procurou manter a atmosfera intimista do edifício original, apostando numa paleta cromática sóbria e elegante, que realça os detalhes construtivos e valoriza a luz natural. As intervenções foram pensadas com respeito e sensibilidade, criando uma sintonia entre tradição e modernidade.

O resultado é um espaço que celebra o património, oferece conforto e funcionalidade, e convida os visitantes a usufruir de uma experiência gastronómica num ambiente com alma, onde cada elemento conta uma história.
