The Casa Dexco project, developed by ARCHITECTS OFFICE, stems from an
in-depth investigation into how to bring together all of the Dexco brands – one of
Latin America's largest industrial conglomerates, with operations in engineered
wood panels, sanitary ware, metal fittings, and ceramic coatings – within a single
experience, articulating identity, functionality, and historical context.

Located in the iconic Conjunto Nacional on Avenida Paulista, the flagship is
conceived as a hybrid space that transcends the traditional store: here, design,
architecture, and brand intertwine to create an immersive experience for both
architects and the general public.

The project is guided by the concept of a home – “casa” means house in
Portuguese – with staged environments functioning as dynamic settings, a gallery
where furniture and products become protagonists, while the building’s historic
architecture remains visible and celebrated. Every decision, from the visitor’s
journey to the choice of colors and materials, was designed to welcome, provoke,
and integrate sensory experience, while maintaining a strong connection to Avenida
Paulista’s urban landscape and the memory of the Conjunto Nacional.

On an analytical level, Casa Dexco organizes a variety of programs in a cohesive
and strategic way. The ground floor features an active façade, a generous reception,
and access to the Portinari Gallery, while exhibition areas and staged environments
allow architects and clients to interact with products in realistic contexts.

The mezzanine houses a coworking space, design thinking rooms, and internal
offices, fostering collaboration and creation. Commercial and leisure areas are
connected by a continuous path that highlights transparency, double-height
spaces, and city views, balancing public and private experiences.

The integration between the new and the existing was carefully studied: original
pillars, slabs, and window frames were preserved, while new interventions –
mezzanines, panels, and display structures – are overlaid in a light and reversible
way. In this sense, the project materializes an architecture that evolves with the
brand, promotes encounters and meaningful experiences, and delivers a space that
is at once store, gallery, innovation hub, and extension of the city’s urban life.
