A 200 m² apartment in São Paulo was completely renovated to welcome its new residents: a young couple passionate about sharing moments with friends. The floor plan had already undergone previous modifications, allowing this renovation to focus on finishes, furniture, and creative solutions that would infuse the spaces with personality.

The goal was to create a vibrant, functional, and inviting home. The social areas remain fully integrated, encouraging interaction and a sense of spaciousness. To strengthen visual unity, the main wall was clad in colorful lacquered panels that conceal doors and mark the transition to the private wing and the office. Designed as a monochromatic blue volume, the office features custom shelving to display books, keepsakes, and personal objects, serving as a true visual pause within the apartment.

At the entrance, a striking color palette sets the tone for the light and expressive atmosphere that unfolds throughout the other rooms. The living room features a sofa designed exclusively for the project and a custom millwork unit that bridges the living and dining functions.

Among the elements that embody the couple’s playful spirit, the pinball machine takes center stage in the middle of the living room. More than a decorative object, it symbolizes the fun-loving atmosphere and the desire to turn the home into a gathering place.

Thinking of every resident, the architects created a built-in nook designed especially for the couple’s cats—a thoughtful touch that reinforces the attention given to every detail.

The choice of colors and materials was made in close collaboration with the couple. In the kitchen, vibrant shades of blue, yellow, and green combine functionality and personality, with generous storage for tableware and an integrated bar. The couple’s bedroom, on the other hand, conveys a more serene aesthetic, with neutral tones and tone-on-tone cabinetry that invites rest.

Cumaru wood flooring runs through both social and private areas, unifying the interiors while adding warmth to the architectural concept.
