Paint on paint, wallpaper. Windows that do not close, time frozen. No one has lived in the house for a long time, no one inhabits it. There is no furniture, no personal belongings, only dampness and empty spaces.
As if we were archaeologists, we remove layers until we reach the original state, the year 0. We remove layers of paint, false ceilings, partition walls. We eliminate inappropriate elements, exposing the solid brickwork and wooden beams.
We repair the damage that the passage of time has caused to the building. We create an atmosphere of peace using raw materials and warm colours that speak of its history.
Light streams in through the windows, filtered by wooden Alicante blinds, flooding the house throughout the day. The daytime space enjoys double orientation and generous height. The rooms, arranged in a band of more limited proportions, seek to provide a sense of seclusion and rest.
