Located in a 19th-century building, this 24 m² studio had not been renovated since the 1980s.

The project proposes a contemporary reinterpretation that highlights the original features while integrating a functional and aesthetic layout. The intervention relies on a play of partitions at varying heights, subtly defining the functional spaces without completely enclosing them: dressing room, bathroom, shower, etc. These sculptural elements, combined with polished concrete, are a nod to the Mediterranean origins of the owner. They bring an organic fluidity to the space, contrasting with the building’s historic architecture. The design is inspired by a “country in Paris” style, blending authenticity and refinement: •

Original beams: preserved, they visually structure the space and evoke the historical charm of the place. • Natural stone floor: a timeless touch that recalls French country houses.

Walnut wood: used in accents (furniture, handles, etc.). The apartment enjoys an unobstructed view of a lush garden, which becomes a central element of the interior layout.

The large windows allow soft natural light to flood in, while the materials and mirrors used inside extend this harmony with the surrounding nature. This project transforms a small Parisian space into a chic and peaceful cocoon. By combining the charm of the past with Mediterranean contemporary touches, it offers a unique experience: one of discreet and warm luxury, ideal for a timeless retreat in the Luxembourg district. Situé dans un immeuble du XIXe siècle, ce studio de 24 m² n’avait pas été rénové depuis les années 1980. Le projet propose une réinterprétation contemporaine qui met en valeur les atouts d’origine tout en intégrant un aménagement fonctionnel et esthétique. L’intervention repose sur un jeu de cloisons aux hauteurs variées, qui délimitent subtilement les espaces fonctionnels sans les cloisonner totalement : dressing, salle d’eau, douche,... Ces éléments sculpturaux associé au béton ciré sont un clin d’oeil aux origines méditerranéennes de la propriétaire. Ils apportent une fluidité organique à l’espace, en contraste avec l’architecture historique de l’immeuble. Le design s’inspire d’un style “campagne à Paris”, mêlant authenticité et raffinement : • Poutres d’origine : conservées, elles structurent visuellement l’espace et rappellent le charme historique du lieu. • Sol en pierre naturelle : une touche intemporelle qui évoque les maisons de campagne françaises. • Bois de noyer : utilisé par touches (mobilier, poignées,...). L’appartement bénéficie d’une vue imprenable sur un jardin verdoyant, qui devient un élément central de l’aménagement intérieur. Les grandes fenêtres laissent entrer une lumière naturelle douce, tandis que les matériaux et les miroirs utilisés à l’intérieur prolongent cette harmonie avec la nature environnante. Ce projet transforme un petit espace parisien en un cocon chic et paisible. En combinant le charme du passé et des touches contemporaines méditerranéennes, il offre une expérience unique : celle d’un luxe discret et chaleureux, idéal pour une parenthèse hors du temps dans le quartier du Luxembourg.
