Light meets the timeless elegance of the Apulian masseria
In the authentic setting of Masseria AuraTerrae, nestled among olive groves, gardens and local limestone, light transforms the exterior spaces into a landscape of relationship and materiality. The lighting design is guided by a clear principle: integrating light into the architectural gesture without overpowering it, gently and coherently accompanying each passage, opening and threshold. The entire architectural project, designed by the Bepi Povia studio, reinterprets the historic masseria as a regenerated organism, balanced between rural memory and sustainable contemporaneity. A design vision attentive to the landscape, local materials and the natural vocation of the place.
The Eterea wall sconces, positioned on fronts and at entrances, interact harmoniously with the historic architecture: the light enhances the reliefs and rustic texture, highlighting openings and details without overwhelming them. The ground-mounted versions, placed along walkways, paths and relaxation areas, guide visitors with a relational intensity, suggesting routes and rest areas through discreet, atmospheric lighting. The language of material and boundary forms a visual grammar: soft light on stone walls, luminous points defining green edges, a measured contrast between interior and exterior. The Eterea lamps were chosen for their formal elegance, visual lightness and ability to blend with the existing volumes. Every lighting point reflects a conscious choice: to respect the context, enhance nature and support a sensory experience that shifts with the time of day, the seasons and human presence. In this silent narrative, light accompanies the rediscovery of the masseria as a lived and livable space, where time expands and matter becomes atmosphere.
