Jänkä Resort’s design is guided by experientality: deep connection to nature, to oneself, to others, and to the wildlife and the mysticality of Lapland. The restaurant is designed to be the warmest, most welcoming dining room in Lapland: like stepping into the kitchen of the generous hosts. Carefully thought-out yet robust details and the use of genuine materials evoke a refined country-house atmosphere. Furniture blends Fyra’s bespoke pieces with vintage finds and other carefully chosen details.

Natural materials, especially wood, root the space in its surroundings. Cozy lighting, combining interior fixtures with petite spotlights, highlights textures and details. Views toward nature are maximized through careful placement of furniture, while taller elements such as the wine cabinet and fireplaces create soft divisions and intimate zones. Local charm brings Lappish hospitality and communal warmth to the forefront.

The lobby greets guests with inviting furniture, a fireplace and a moss installation that sets a calming mood. The lounge serves as a shared resting point for guests of both the restaurant and safari activities. On the safari side, part of the overall entity yet discreetly set behind other elements, generous storage accommodates outdoor clothing and equipment, supporting smooth transitions between the interior and the wilderness beyond.
