Without disrupting the original sequence of rooms, the renovation of this 90-sqm apartment redefines the perception of space through the introduction of a central volume clad in Canaletto walnut, the quiet core around which the entire project unfolds. Conceived to absorb a structural column, this monolithic element gathers an entrance wardrobe, a storage space and a home office, dissolving the two former blind corridors and becoming itself a spatial hinge between the living and sleeping areas. Along its perimeter, three sliding walls glide softly, modulating degrees of openness and generating ever-changing spatial scenarios. What was once a conventional arrangement of rooms and circulation corridors is transformed into a fluid, continuous environment, allowing movement through the apartment in a circular and intuitive way. The warmth of the wooden cladding is counterbalanced by a seamless light-grey microcement floor, together with white walls and bespoke furnishings that amplify light and calm. Glass partitions filter daylight into the most intimate spaces, while mirrored surfaces expand perspectives, multiplying reflections and subtly redefining the boundaries of the interior.
