Reethaus Berlin – a space for reflection and design Berlin / Germany / 2024
The Reethaus in Berlin's Rummelsburg district has earned a spot among the 100 Most Beautiful Places in the World, as selected by Time Magazine.
Described as a "40-foot-high UFO made of straw that has landed in a field near the River Spree," the newly opened venue stands out for both its architecture and purpose. The concept is less about creating a traditional auditorium or art center and more about textures, light, and capturing the emotional power of stillness.
At the heart of the building lies a 1,300-square-meter, bunker-like space, illuminated by a dramatic skylight and enhanced by a wooden ceiling with built-in omnidirectional speakers—an immersive environment that redefines the concept of a gathering space. You should enter the space, then slowly calm down. The inner room of the Reethaus is a ritual room designed for this purpose. We are proud to have contributed to this extraordinary project crafting bespoke interior elements, bringing craftsmanship and precision to a space where architecture and atmosphere merge in perfect harmony.
