On the outskirts of Panorama, Thessaloniki, this two-story villa stands out for its strong architectural character. The key design priorities were energy efficiency, functional autonomy, and open-plan spaces.
In the project, designed by architect Athanasios Goulidis, particular emphasis was placed on the seamless integration of the interior and exterior environments, expressed through a minimal aesthetic approach. The combination of stone, wood, and metal creates a cohesive, well-balanced architectural identity. As the architect notes, “the façade design was guided by bioclimatic principles. The core of the building remains solid to the north, while the main entrance is positioned on the eastern elevation.”
The outdoor space is dominated by a swimming pool that extends the entire length of the dining room and living room. Inside, the different parts of the residence connect and “breathe,” while expansive window openings on the ground and upper floors, supported by modern sliding aluminium frames, enhance natural light, convey a sense of luxury, and offer uninterrupted views towards the Thermaic Gulf and Mount Olympus.
The outcome is a contemporary, energy-efficient architectural composition that harmoniously integrates with the landscape, delivering a high standard of living and establishing a strong point of reference for the area.
