ESTEA | REdDUO

Just steps away from Corso Genova, RedDuo, the multidisciplinary project founded in 2020 by Fabiola Di Virgilio and Andrea Rosso, has completed the redesign of ESTEA, a Milan-based beauty studio founded by Cristea Marina Jane, located at Via Gaudenzio Ferrari 4. The project explores a new language of well-being, where materiality, light, and proportions shape a contemporary and sensorial aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from the intimate nature of interior spaces and the connection between self-care and aesthetics, RedDuo develops the concept around the idea of modern elegance, rooted in a balance of simplicity, essential forms, and material warmth. The project reflects the studio’s philosophy, consistently oriented toward a cross-disciplinary vision that merges design, architecture, and craftsmanship, where the individual experience becomes an integral part of the space.

Upon entering, the space revolves around an oblique metal-and-glass cube that functions as a treatment cabin and separates the entrance from the welcome desk, defining three distinct areas.

From here, the path opens toward two additional cabins dedicated to facial treatments and body massages, performed using natural products by the studio’s specialized staff. A vanilla and chocolate color palette runs throughout the space, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Alpi wood, metal, and resin are combined through a tactile and contemporary approach that lends the environment an intimate, enclosed, and functional character. All furnishings within the space were designed by RedDuo, translating the creative duo’s aesthetic into forms and proportions such as the rug from the Furry Network collection, created in collaboration with JOV, selected to add visual softness and a more emotional dimension to the beauty studio’s aesthetic journey. Clean lines and meticulous attention to detail reference Japanese design, reinterpreted through a contemporary visual language that is more graphic and material-driven, deeply connected to Milanese heritage. Two worlds central to RedDuo’s vision meet and merge here into a warm, modern, and conscious aesthetic.

For the realization of the project, a curated selection of partners was involved, all sharing values of innovation, artisanal excellence, and sustainability: Kerakoll for surfaces and decorative textures, Belgian brand JOV for custom-made rugs, and Leucos for a selection of lighting products. These collaborations belong to the RedDuo universe, with whom the studio pursues ongoing research into materials, finishes, and production processes, as evidenced by the Casa RedDuoproject presented during the most recent Design Week. In some cases, bespoke finishes and colors were developed, contributing to the definition of a tailor-made visual identity.

The project by RedDuo brings ESTEA’s vision to life through a space designed to support treatment rituals and deliver an immersive, well-balanced experience.

A pochi passi da Corso Genova, RedDuo, il progetto multidisciplinare fondato nel 2020 da Fabiola Di Virgilio e Andrea Rosso, firma il restyling di ESTEA, beauty studio milanese fondato da Cristea Marina Jane, in via Gaudenzio Ferrari 4. Il progetto esplora un nuovo linguaggio del benessere, dove materia, luce e proporzioni definiscono un’estetica contemporanea e sensoriale.

Ispirandosi alla natura raccolta degli interni e al legame tra cura di sé ed estetica, RedDuo sviluppa il concept intorno all’idea di un’eleganza moderna, fondata sull’equilibrio tra semplicità, essenzialità e calore materico. Il progetto riflette la filosofia dello studio, sempre orientata a una visione trasversale tra design, architettura e artigianato, dove l’esperienza del singolo diventa parte integrante dello spazio.

Entrando lo spazio ruota attorno ad un cubo obliquo di metallo e vetro che funge da cabina e che divide l’ingresso dal welcome desk, definendo tre ambienti differenti. Da qui il percorso si apre verso le altre due cabine, dedicate ai trattamenti viso e ai massaggi corpo, eseguiti con prodotti naturali dal personale specializzato dello studio. La palette vaniglia e cioccolato accompagna l’intero percorso, creando un’atmosfera rilassante e accogliente. Legno Alpi, metallo e resina sono combinati con un approccio tattile e contemporaneo che conferisce all’ambiente un carattere intimo, raccolto e funzionale. Tutti gli arredi presenti nello spazio sono stati disegnati da RedDuo, traducendo in forme e proporzioni l’estetica del duo creativo, come il tappeto della collezione Furry Network, realizzata con JOV, scelto per aggiungere morbidezza visiva e una componente più emotiva al percorso estetico del beauty studio. Le linee pulite e la cura del dettaglio richiamano i riferimenti al design giapponese, reinterpretati attraverso un codice visivo contemporaneo, più grafico e materico legato all’heritage milanese. Due mondi cari a RedDuo che qui si incontrano e fondono in un'estetica calda, moderna e consapevole.

Per la realizzazione del progetto, è stata coinvolta una selezione di partner che condividono valori legati a innovazione, eccellenza artigianale e sostenibilità: Kerakoll per le superfici e le texture decorative, il brand belga JOV per i tappeti custom made e Leucos per una selezione di prodotti di illuminazione. Collaborazioni che appartengono all’universo RedDuo, con i quali viene portata avanti una ricerca continua su materiali, finiture e processi produttivi, come testimonia il progetto di Casa Redduo, presentato in occasione dell’ultima Design Week. In alcuni casi sono state sviluppate finiture e colori ad hoc, contribuendo a definire un’identità visiva su misura.

Il restyling firmato RedDuo traduce la visione di ESTEA in un ambiente che accompagna la ritualità del trattamento, offrendo ai clienti un’esperienza immersiva, calibrata e armonica. Un luogo pensato per prendersi cura di sé attraverso lo spazio, la materia e la bellezza.
