PITAMAKI Temakeria is a restaurant project located in the touristic port of Marina di Ragusa, Sicily, designed by LAVICA architecture | design.

The project stands out for its integrated approach: LAVICA developed the concept in its entirety, from naming to brand identity and interior design, creating a coherent and recognizable system. The name “PITAMAKI” merges “pitaya,” the Asian fruit that inspired the project, with “temakeria,” directly referencing the food concept.

The visual identity is translated into space through a bold and distinctive palette. The green of the pitaya peel becomes the dominant tone, combined with bright fuchsia and burnt yellow accents. The white interior dotted with black seeds inspires flooring patterns and selected wall claddings, generating a graphic and immersive environment. Stainless steel is introduced both for its functional qualities and for its contemporary, almost futuristic character.

The interior layout is carefully designed to optimize both customer experience and operational efficiency. The shop window is enlarged and transformed into a bar-facing opening with high seating, creating a direct relationship with the exterior. Fixed seating elements integrate planters and electrical sockets, while the exposed stainless steel kitchen becomes a central feature, with a serving window and internal bar seating.

The program is completed by the addition of a customer bathroom, storage spaces and a compact bar area dedicated to spirits. The ceiling is entirely covered with mirrors, amplifying light and generating an optical expansion of the space.

The exterior design reinforces the identity of the project through a curved terrace that echoes the PITAMAKI graphic language. Corten cladding and coordinated metal finishes define the material character, while all furnishings—both indoor and outdoor—follow a green tone-on-tone palette aligned with the brand.

LAVICA curated all phases of the project, from concept development and branding to interior and exterior design, delivering a unified and highly recognizable restaurant environment.
