CTP Apartment | Voa Arquitetura

The appreciation of the view and the integration between spaces guided the renovation project of the CTP Apartment, designed by the firm VOA Arquitetura, an architecture office based in São Paulo, Brazil. Located in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood in São Paulo, the project reorganizes the layout to create a more open and functional social area, marked by a minimalist and comfortable atmosphere.

The new configuration was developed to meet the needs of the resident family and is based on enhancing existing architectural elements of the building.

Among them are the round columns present in the social area, which take on a prominent role in the space. Clad in terracotta, these structural elements bring warmth to the composition and reinforce the sculptural character of the structure.

The large glass façades were also key to the development of the project. Based on the view of the treetops surrounding the building, the architects defined the layout of the spaces, seeking to bring the external landscape closer to the residents’ daily life and to increase the presence of greenery inside the apartment.

The material palette follows a neutral base, composed of light beige tones applied to the walls and ceiling. Accents of color appear in a subtle way in furniture pieces and decorative objects, creating gentle contrasts and highlighting specific elements of the space.

Among the elements that organize the social area is a shelving unit that separates the living room from the residents’ home office. The design was inserted in the gap between the wall and one of the columns, maintaining a slight distance from the structure and preserving the sculptural reading of the building’s original element.

The project transformed the apartment into light and integrated spaces, where architecture, materiality, and landscape combine to create a daily experience marked by comfort and a strong relationship with the surroundings.
