LL7 begins with the redesign of a terraced house on the ground floor, with a highly fragmented original layout. This layout organized the program through a long corridor, providing access to the various rooms, all of which suffered from a lack of natural light and a sense of spaciousness.

The proposal stems from the need to reorganize this highly compartmentalized program and reinvent the existing relationships and circulation patterns. The existing central load-bearing wall is taken as the starting point, serving as a kind of spine. A large piece of furniture is placed along this wall, articulating the space between the more private and public areas and serving both sides.

This longitudinal axis is complemented, in the opposite direction, by the creation of two gallery spaces on either side of the house. One, directly connected to the street, acts as a filter between the public and private spaces, providing the adjacent areas with a sense of privacy.

The other, which connects to the interior courtyard, acts as an interstitial space between the living-dining room and the suite, facing this courtyard.

Ll7 is a clear example of a project where the desire to recover the existing materiality, making it the protagonist of the intervention, highlights the effort to recover original materials and elements so that, combined with new and modern additions, they create a new environment where the family living there can embrace this space as a new home that meets all their needs.
