The project revolves around two fundamental ideas: the optimal development of sports practice on the outdoor courts through proper orientation, and the efficient flow of circulation, both internally and in relation to the University Campus on which it is located.

The service building adapts to the site, avoiding residual spaces and resolving the facade facing the adjacent parking area and the proposed new pedestrian walkway.
The pavilion is conceived as a key element of the facilities, connecting them to the rest of the Campus and acting as a focal point and draw for users. Two sloping planes in the access area invite movement towards the pavilion and the interior of the sports court grounds. This plane is clad with glazed tiles in the blue of the UMH logo, aiming to give the pavilion a distinctive and recognizable image. The two program areas are resolved with two floor slabs at different heights, creating a linear opening facing northeast that allows for proper natural lighting and ventilation in both the multipurpose rooms and the changing rooms and restrooms.

Another criterion that motivated this proposal is the durability and ease of maintenance of the facilities through the use of low-maintenance, long-lasting ceramic materials for cladding—very important aspects to consider in this type of public facility.
