Ospedale Monopoli-Fasano

The design for the new SE hospital in the Bari area, MONOPOLI – FASANO, was drawn up by a design consortium (RTP) comprising MANENS spa (lead firm), PINEARQ slp – architect Albert De Pineda, the architectural practice of Mauro Sàito, and Dr Salvatore Valletta (geologist). The comprehensive design defined the environmental and landscape integration, as well as the morphological, typological, structural and services layout of the hospital complex in the Contrada L’Assunta district of Monopoli (BA). Following the award of the contract to Webuild Italia, the RTP team oversaw the works.

MANENS S.p.A. (parent company of RTP) is a multidisciplinary firm based in Padua, providing engineering and architectural services. It has over 50 years’ experience in MEP design and construction project management; its services range from feasibility studies and design to site and project management, with a focus on sustainability and energy.

PINEARQ S.l.p. (Albert De Pineda) is an award-winning design firm based in Barcelona, specialising in the development of complex facilities for the health sciences. It operates with a multidisciplinary team boasting over 30 years of combined experience, with a presence and projects in more than 15 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.

MAURO SÀITO, an architect and urban planner based in Matera and Bari, designs urban plans, public spaces and buildings, experimental residences, the restoration of modern ‘monuments’, public art interventions and urban design. 2016 Urban Planning Award, 2020 INARCH Basilicata Award, 2023 INARCH Puglia Bruno Zevi Award, 2023 AESS Award.
