Mineral forms shape Lindeza store in Dubai

Located at City Walk in Dubai, the new 74.7 m² Lindeza Jewelry store was designed by architect Elena Lokastova as a spatial interpretation of the brand’s connection to natural minerals and crystalline forms. Rather than relying on overt decorative luxury, the project develops its identity through geometry, reflection, and material texture, transforming the compact retail space into a highly structured environment inspired by the morphology of crystals.

The interior is organised around six sculptural columns positioned throughout the store. Formed by two converging planes, the structures resemble fragments of enlarged minerals emerging from the floor. Their geometry establishes the visual rhythm of the interior while simultaneously dividing and guiding movement through the space.

To reinforce the vertical effect of these elements, the ceiling was finished with mirrored panels. The reflections visually extend the columns upward, blurring the boundaries of the relatively compact room and enhancing the perception of depth. As a result, the structures appear almost monumental, recalling elongated octahedral forms.

Eucalyptus veneer was used as the project’s primary architectural material. Chosen partly for its availability through local production, the veneer preserves a glossy surface and pronounced tactile quality that contrasts with the smooth pink epoxy flooring. This restrained material palette allows the geometry of the space to remain the dominant feature of the interior.

Display structures were conceived as architectural objects rather than conventional retail furniture. The central showcase consists of two intersecting triangular prisms referencing tetrahedrite — a mineral characterised by crystalline formations built from intersecting triangles. A second display element continues this composition through a similar geometric language, integrating the presentation of jewellery into the overall spatial system.

Throughout the project, geometry operates both functionally and atmospherically. Angled planes, reflections, and repeated triangular forms create shifting perspectives as visitors move through the store, while mirrored surfaces continuously fragment and multiply the space.

Rather than separating architecture from product display, the project treats the entire interior as a single composition. Jewellery, materials, and spatial structures become interconnected elements within an environment that references the physical properties and visual logic of natural crystals.
