In the heart of Paris’s 12th arrondissement, this loft, set within former industrial workshops, has been entirely reimagined, with particular attention given to the entrance area, which was previously enclosed beneath a low-ceilinged mezzanine.
The space has been transformed into a dramatic double-height entrance hall, creating an impressive sense of volume while incorporating a large bespoke bookcase designed to house the owners’ extensive library. This reconfiguration enhances circulation throughout the loft and celebrates the generous proportions of the original space.
The project’s most striking intervention is the creation of a suspended guest bedroom, enclosed within a cube of textured glass. This bold architectural gesture introduces a contemporary layer while preserving both the natural light and the industrial character of the loft. The result is a subtle balance between transparency and privacy, where innovation and heritage coexist in harmony.
