Villa HEBA | E-H Atelier d'architectures
Marrakesh / Morocco / 2026
The project is located in Marrakech, in the heart of the city. It is a 500 m² single-story house. The geometric composition revolves around a central element, the patio, a vernacular architectural feature. This space is discovered after passing between two large stone walls, giving the user the sensation of being enveloped by the architecture before being liberated by the patio. The main living room, running along a north-south axis, is the second compositional element. It connects the patio to the swimming pool, creating the necessary interplay of light and shadow to maintain the rhythm between the light of the patio and the garden. The large windows in this space are recessed into the walls to enhance the sense of framing the exterior and to allow for natural ventilation. The swimming pool, a 9x9 m square, is inspired by ancient irrigation basins. The aim was to transform the pool into a sculpture, a reflection that responds to the project. The four sides are raised by 4 steps to position this water feature at the same level as the house.
