Set within the arid landscape of the Californian hills, this residence designed by STUDIO AR&D ARCHITECTS, INC. interprets the relationship between architecture and nature through an essential and contemporary language. Large glazed surfaces and fluid spaces blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, transforming the desert landscape into an integral part of the project. Courtyards and patios become living spaces in continuity with the interiors.

A defining feature is the use of large Flowtech Burnished slabs, applied to vertical cladding and outdoor surfaces. The aesthetic inspired by oxidised metals interacts with the tones of the rock, while the high technical performance ensures resistance, durability and ease of maintenance. Indoors, Sensi Grey Sand defines floors and surfaces with neutral and textured tones, helping to create bright and harmonious environments. The large slabs enhance visual continuity and strengthen the project’s design coherence.
