Casa Edison | Nūr Architettura&Design

Casa Edison was born from the desire to restore the identity of a historic apartment through a contemporary reinterpretation of its architectural heritage.

At the heart of the project is a bespoke joinery piece that connects the living area and the kitchen, defining the spaces while preserving visual continuity. The glazed arched doors, featuring original glass panels discovered during the renovation, pay tribute to the city’s Liberty heritage, while the black-and-white marble flooring reinterprets Art Deco geometries as a continuous carpet that flows throughout the home.

For the photo shoot, the apartment was transformed into a temporary gallery, showcasing the works of Elisabetta Marino in a dialogue between art, light, and architecture.

Casa Edison nasce dal desiderio di restituire identità a un appartamento storico attraverso una rilettura contemporanea della sua memoria architettonica.

Fulcro del progetto è il mobile su misura, un elemento di connessione tra living e cucina che definisce gli spazi mantenendone la continuità visiva. Le porte ad arco vetrate, arricchite dai vetri originali ritrovati in cantiere, richiamano la tradizione Liberty della città, mentre il pavimento in marmo bianco e nero reinterpreta le geometrie Art Déco come un tappeto continuo che accompagna la casa.

Per gli scatti, l’abitazione si trasforma in una galleria temporanea accogliendo le opere di Elisabetta Marino, in un dialogo tra arte, luce e architettura.
