FORMA

FORMA is a full-service architecture firm led by Miroslava Brooks and Daniel Markiewicz (mar-keay-vich). The practice was founded in New York City in 2018 and expanded to Los Angeles and Philadelphia in 2023. Both partners are licensed architects, having over two decades of combined experience designing and realizing built work and a continuous academic engagement through teaching design courses at the graduate level. Together, they bring professional precision and academic depth to each commission.

The practice explores new forms of collectivity through civic spaces (“commons”) and rethinks domesticity through residential projects (“homes”). Our work combines formal clarity, typological exploration, and innovative programming, often expressed with bold color and a touch of playfulness. Projects evolve through rigorous iteration to establish distinct design intent.

We provide visioning, design, and construction administration services to private clients for residential and commercial projects. Through competitions and self-driven initiatives, we also explore possibilities within larger cultural & public realms to engage with like-minded individuals, collectives, and institutions.
