Georg Kayser was born in the South of Germany to a German father and a Guatemalan mother. While his multicultural background shaped him to be curious about the world, he got in touch with design and architecture from an early age, through his father, an urban planner and architect himself.

The London Metropolitan University qualified architect, began his studies at the University of Applied Science in Cologne. Upon graduating in 2001, he relocated to Barcelona to collaborate with different offices until co-founding his first studio in 2007. Since 2014 Georg heads his namesake interior design company, Georg Kayser Studio.
