RREEL

RREEL is an architectural practice specializing in all types of intervention on existing structures, from the restoration of protected buildings to the reconversion of rural or industrial heritage. The studio was founded in 2023 by Léa Cottreel and Rosalie Robert, both heritage architects. Based in Paris, RREEL has expertise in all types of buildings constructed in the 19th and 20th centuries: exceptional houses, artists' studios, vernacular constructions, industrial buildings... For each of these buildings, the studio analyzes the specific constructional and morphological features of the existing building to turn it into a project opportunity. The office studies past and contemporary lifestyles, from the domestic to the urban scale, addressing the themes of hospitality, comfort and the dialectic of the intimate and the common, the old and the new. This approach not only improves usage, but also challenges contemporary standards and gives new meaning to the preservation of architecture.
